This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assists the Billing Operations team by reviewing, validating, and ensuring the precision of customer invoices across various billing cycles and business segments.
• Emphasizes post-generation quality assurance, pinpointing discrepancies, and collaborating with analysts, IT, and finance teams to guarantee all invoices are accurate prior to release.
• Directly contributes to billing accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies and customer contracts.
• Evaluates invoices post-system generation to verify pricing, formatting, and charge accuracy before they are sent to customers.
• Performs quality assurance checks throughout all billing cycles to ensure completeness and consistency.
• Compares invoice data against source systems, billing inputs, or customer contracts to confirm correctness.
• Identifies and logs billing variances or recurring issues and escalates them to the Billing Operations Supervisor or Analyst for resolution.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address discrepancies that affect invoice accuracy or timing.
• Maintains records and logs of quality reviews, corrections, and cycle validations for audit and compliance purposes.
• Aids in end-to-end testing and validation during system updates, migrations, or new product launches.
• Engages in process improvement initiatives to boost billing efficiency and data integrity.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounting, or finance operations (experience in telecommunications or SaaS is preferred).
• Familiarity with enterprise billing systems (e.g., SAP BRIM or similar).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data validation and reconciliation.
• Understanding of billing controls, revenue processes, and audit readiness.
