Billing Manager, Follow-up

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create operational processes that adhere to best practices in revenue cycle management, focusing on maximizing reimbursement.

• Recruit and manage a team responsible for various claim editing, general follow-up, and denial management tasks across multiple payers.

• Collaborate with the product department to pinpoint areas for improvement within our technology workflow processes.

• Oversee team productivity and establish guidelines for reviewing and auditing staff quality.

• Analyze trends in payer behavior and present findings for leadership consideration.

• Work with different departments to address open accounts, including collaborating with clinical staff to appeal medical necessity denials and coordinating with accounting for cash posting and reconciliation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in the healthcare industry, ideally in a role focused on end-to-end billing and follow-up functions with insurance providers.

• At least 3 years of experience in people management.

• Strong knowledge of the claim submission process and the common challenges that can delay reimbursements from payers.

• Familiarity with clinicians providing mental health and/or telehealth services.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and proactively seek opportunities to influence operational strategy and initiatives.

• Detail-oriented and operationally proficient in establishing processes and frameworks that drive individual and team success.
