Billing Solutions Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage interactions within the Revenue Cycle department through phone (both inbound and outbound), email, voicemail, faxes, and the patient portal while delivering outstanding customer service.

• Engage with offices and patients to ensure information is up-to-date.

• Process payment requests submitted by patients.

• Accurately refresh insurance plan details and other portal information for patients as needed.

• Assist leadership with necessary daily, weekly, and monthly reporting tasks.

• Address patient inquiries, questions, and concerns related to their accounts and the centers.

• Collaborate with patients and providers to resolve account issues and communicate the appropriate next steps for troubleshooting.

• Identify potential revenue cycle obstacles and escalate them for departmental and/or leadership review when required.

• Examine billing transactions for accuracy and assist in resolving payment posting issues on accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a call center setting; healthcare revenue cycle experience is highly preferred.

• Previous experience working with Electronic Health Record systems (EHRs), call center, and phone systems.

• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email.

• Comprehensive understanding of major health insurance carriers (both in-network and out-of-network).

• Familiarity with medical terminology.

• Proven professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive patient information.

• Detail-oriented with the capability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to type fluently.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor, particularly demonstrating empathy and compassion when engaging with patients.
