Billing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and cultivate teams tasked with customer billing support and billing quality assurance.

• Take ownership of the complete order-to-cash billing process.

• Guide the resolution of escalations and payment disputes, including chargebacks.

• Manage collections efforts, which encompass overdue invoices, deactivations, and tracking of bad debt.

• Develop reporting that enhances visibility into billing performance, collections, and client health.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, collections, or a related area, ideally within a SaaS or subscription-based business.

• Proven experience in managing teams and ensuring accountability in relation to service levels and performance goals.

• Familiarity with an AI-driven billing platform is preferred, although not mandatory.

• Highly detail-oriented - you notice what others may overlook and have a strong commitment to follow-through.

• An operationally focused individual who is effective without requiring close supervision.

• Actively seeks to enhance processes and ensures successful execution of improvements.

• Strong critical thinking and judgment skills - capable of making informed decisions, exercising discretion, and tailoring communication and solutions to meet specific situations and client needs.

• Resourceful and self-reliant, with the proactive ability to resolve issues and seek answers.

• Adaptable and resilient, able to swiftly adjust as the business landscape and priorities shift.

• A reliable cross-functional collaborator and the go-to expert for billing-related inquiries.

• Comfortable navigating various billing systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience with Salesforce, Tabs, Rillet, PandaDoc, Stripe, Notion, and Slack is preferred, but not essential.
