This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• The Billing Manager oversees and coordinates all functions within the billing department, encompassing claim submissions, outstanding account resolutions, and optimizing cash flow.
• Furthermore, the manager stays updated on payor policies and regulations, ensuring adherence to Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance standards.
• Responsible for the daily operations of the Billing Department, including the monitoring and updating of policies and procedures.
• Establishes internal controls to guarantee timely and accurate billing to third-party payors.
• Ensures that days in accounts receivable are maintained at or below company standards while also monitoring daily cash flow.
• Reviews monthly productivity and quality assurance (QA) reports.
• Aids in the execution of audits conducted by third-party payors and/or government entities.
• Develops, analyzes, and presents accounts receivable performance metrics to management.
• Conducts root cause analysis to pinpoint opportunities for process enhancements and/or automation, implementing new procedures as necessary.
• Undertakes additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• At least five (5) years of relevant health billing and collections experience.
• A minimum of one (1) year of management experience.
• Strong management abilities, including the capacity to motivate and mentor staff at all levels, provide training, establish departmental policies and procedures, and handle human resource issues for supervised staff.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining proactive, detail-oriented, resourceful, and efficient, demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
• Excellent customer service abilities, interpersonal skills, independence, teamwork, critical thinking, organizational skills, and knowledge of regulatory requirements pertinent to the role.
• Proven expertise in Home Health, Hospice, and physician third-party billing along with relevant regulations.
• Familiarity with state and federal billing regulations.
• Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database management.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior analytical skills.
• Adhere to all state, federal, and local government regulations, maintaining a robust stance against fraud and abuse.
• Follow Company policies, procedures, and standard practices.
• Observe the Company's health, safety, and security protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patients, families, colleagues, and other sensitive situations within the Company.
• Utilize resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Represent the Company by participating in community and professional organizations.
