This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices in line with contract terms and billing schedules, including analyzing and interpreting contracts to determine the invoicing requirements and timelines.
• Ensure the accuracy of billing information to maintain compliance with approved pricing and deliverables, which includes validating that incoming data from Salesforce aligns with contractual obligations prior to issuing invoices.
• Conduct revenue reconciliations, including month-end comparisons of billed versus recognized revenue, while managing and reconciling deferred revenue schedules and distributing multi-line invoices across the appropriate recognition periods.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between billing schedules, revenue reports, and accounting records.
• Maintain and update billing schedules, trackers, and associated documentation.
• Identify and rectify missing, inaccurate, or duplicate billings.
• Handle collections tasks and coordinate with the sales team by providing invoice copies, documentation, and clarifications for outstanding accounts.
• Collaborate with internal departments (sales operations, customer success, procurement, etc.) to address billing and revenue-related inquiries.
• Supply necessary documentation during internal and external audits.
• Keep organized financial records in compliance with company policies and audit standards.
• Participate in the NetSuite implementation and user testing as we shift away from manual deferred revenue tracking; the go-live date is projected for August 2026.
• Undertake additional finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
• 2-4 years of professional experience in billing, revenue assurance, accounts receivable, or a related finance role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation).
• Experience with ERP or invoicing systems such as NetSuite, or equivalent (preferred).
• Familiarity with Salesforce.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and revenue recognition concepts.
• Occasional travel required, approximately once or twice a year for company-wide gatherings.
