Billing and Invoicing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee sales order requests while validating contractual products, pricing, cycles, and payment terms.

• Implement customer-specific handling and purchase order details.

• Compare current-year renewal orders with those from the previous year.

• Manage and address incoming customer inquiries.

• Process invoices through customer online billing platforms.

• Apply customer payments accurately.

• Enter and update client information with precision and efficiency.

• Establish special tax regulations in the sales tax system as required.

• Maintain and rectify client financial billing data, which includes purchase orders, special handling, online billing details, management approvals, and tax rules.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for billing-related questions.

• Investigate billing discrepancies and compile client-specific summaries and reports.

• Execute and document collection activities comprehensively and in compliance with regulations.

• Prepare monthly presentations on accounts receivable.

• Draft customer contracts and amendments as necessary.

• Update systems with relevant contract information.

• Maintain and regularly update process documentation.

• Consistently seek opportunities for process enhancement.

• Associate degree and/or at least 5 years of experience in a finance-related position.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Strong focus on client service and delivery.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Superior written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Capability to perform under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Experience with Oracle NetSuite and Avalara software is highly preferred.
