Billing and Insurance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Analyze account details to ascertain whether insurance has been filed previously and assess the necessity for claim submissions.

• Maintain clear documentation of account findings and ensure the account progresses through the established workflow.

• Engage in communication with clients to provide updates on claims regarding payments, adjustments, or denials.

• Utilize client systems to verify that accounts are being managed appropriately by our providers.

• Conduct eligibility reviews using online portals.

• Audit non-insurance desks for accounts that require evaluation by the insurance team.

• Possess knowledge of carrier-specific timelines for filing claims and eligibility prerequisites.

• Effectively communicate with insurance carriers to identify any claim-related issues.

• Interact with patients regarding their involvement to ensure the successful payment of claims.

• Meet a daily account management requirement of a minimum of 125 accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing medical claims follow-up and eligibility.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel along with general computer and office skills.

• Self-motivated, efficient, and logical in approach.

• Exceptional time management abilities.

• Strong critical thinking skills.

• Capability to type at a speed of 60 words per minute or higher.
