Bilingual Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Facilitate training sessions for clients and D2L staff to enhance their understanding and knowledge of D2L's offerings.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the complete D2L product suite.

• Create and refine training materials, courses, and webinars, including agendas, videos, job aids, leave-behinds, assessment activities, and simulations.

• Perform needs assessments to design customized training plans for clients across various sectors (K12, Higher Education, and Corporate).

• Implement pre- and post-training support initiatives or reinforcement solutions.

• Improve the training experience for clients by providing valuable best practices consultation.

• Collaborate with all stakeholders to tailor training materials to meet the specific needs and characteristics of the target audience.

• Utilize knowledge of adult learning theory along with classroom teaching experience to craft engaging and impactful training experiences that leverage technology to enhance learning.

• Stay informed about Web 2.0 technologies that facilitate eLearning.

• Monitor assigned projects and report on their progress.

• Work alongside other Trainers to apply best practices in product training delivery.

• Encourage knowledge sharing within the organization.

• Contribute to internal improvement initiatives as needed.

• Remain current with D2L and partner products and processes.

• Stay updated on new technology trends to support client learning solutions.

• Engage in additional billable and non-billable duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a blended learning environment.

• At least 1 year of experience in teaching and training adult learners on complex topics.

• Familiarity with eLearning and/or Learning Management Systems is considered an asset.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills to articulate ideas and information clearly and effectively, adapting style to suit diverse audiences and simplifying complex concepts.

• Strong presentation and persuasive speaking abilities for various group sizes.

• Excellent reflective listening and feedback skills to foster group participation, clarify and expand on trainee contributions, steer discussions, and enhance understanding of content.

• Understanding of the typical stages involved in acquiring and mastering new knowledge and skills, with the capacity to create training materials that support this progression.

• Effective strategies for maintaining trainee focus and engagement within established time limits while being responsive to group needs and concerns.

• Ability to integrate feedback and participant evaluations to identify areas for improvement in training.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Canadian French at an advanced spoken and written level (familiarity with European French is a plus).
