Bilingual Medical Receptionist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Manage both inbound and outbound communications via phone calls, emails, and messages from patients.

• Provide professional assistance to patients, healthcare providers, and staff.

• Ensure outstanding customer service while upholding patient confidentiality.

• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments for patients.

• Organize provider calendars and daily schedules effectively.

• Address appointment-related inquiries from patients and follow up as necessary.

• Verify patients' insurance eligibility and benefits information.

• Maintain and update patient demographic data within EMR/EHR systems.

• Keep patient records accurate and systematically organized.

• Facilitate daily administrative processes for healthcare providers.

• Manage reports, databases, and other administrative documentation.

• Assist with special projects and take on additional administrative tasks as needed.

• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure efficient office operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting U.S. healthcare accounts in a medical practice, BPO, CPO, or freelance healthcare setting.

• Advanced bilingual skills in English and Spanish (both written and verbal).

• Neutral or minimal English accent coupled with strong verbal communication abilities.

• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is essential.

• Experience in verifying insurance eligibility is required.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace are necessary.

• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management capabilities.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Comfortable engaging directly with patients in a dynamic healthcare environment.
