This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop strategic recruitment strategies in collaboration with hiring managers and business leaders to ensure timely fulfillment of staffing needs.
• Oversee the complete recruitment process for various positions within Giant Tiger's Home Office, Distribution Centres, and leadership development initiatives.
• Assist in recruitment efforts for the Franchisee In Training (FIT) Program, focusing on identifying and attracting future leaders for Giant Tiger stores.
• Facilitate intake meetings with hiring managers to comprehend business objectives, role specifications, and recruitment strategies.
• Execute targeted sourcing through platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, networking, referrals, and other recruitment avenues to cultivate robust candidate pipelines.
• Evaluate candidates through screening, interviewing, and assessment to determine qualifications, experience, and alignment with the organization's values.
• Offer coaching and insights to hiring managers on recruitment best practices, interviewing strategies, candidate selection, internal mobility, and compensation standards.
• Persuade candidates and hiring managers through effective communication, consultation, and recruitment expertise.
• Manage offer negotiations while considering Giant Tiger's compensation philosophy, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
• Coordinate assessments, background checks, references, and other recruitment-related activities throughout the hiring process.
• Maintain precise recruitment records and ensure a positive and professional candidate experience from initial contact to onboarding.
• Serve as a brand ambassador by promoting Giant Tiger's culture, values, and employee experience throughout the recruitment process.
• At least 2 years of experience in Talent Acquisition or a related field where communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills are essential for success.
• Professional-level proficiency in both French and English, including the capability to confidently conduct interviews and interact with candidates and stakeholders in both languages.
• Proven experience in cultivating strong relationships and influencing stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent sourcing, interviewing, and candidate evaluation skills.
• Ability to proactively identify, engage, and attract talent using various sourcing methods.
• Outstanding organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setting while effectively collaborating with teams across various locations.
• Experience with an ATS, HRIS (preferably Workday), LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruitment technologies.
• Postsecondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
