This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nicaragua, +5 more countries.
• Handle a large volume of incoming patient calls from various practice locations
• Assist in reducing missed calls and ensure patients receive prompt support
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments, including rescheduling
• Professionally and accurately respond to standard patient inquiries
• Enter and update patient data in the practice's EMR system
• Keep patient charts and appointment details accurate
• Utilize Nextiva for managing incoming and outgoing calls for the practice
• Make outbound calls to patients as necessary
• Collaborate with the front-desk team via Google Chat
• Familiarize and adhere to the practice's Women's Health workflows, appointment types, and internal abbreviations
• Deliver a professional, friendly, and patient-centered front-desk experience
• Assist with daily administrative tasks while upholding patient confidentiality and HIPAA standards
• Female candidate required based on the client's specific staffing preference for this role
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Spanish
• Strong communication skills in English with a clear, professional, and neutral/American accent
• Prior experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Front Desk Coordinator, Healthcare Virtual Assistant, or another patient-facing administrative role
• Comfortable managing a high volume of inbound calls in a fast-paced medical setting
• Strong experience in appointment scheduling and patient communication
• Experience with entering and updating patient data in an EMR/EHR system
• Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time-management abilities
• Professional, friendly, and patient-focused communication style
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with a team through online communication tools
• Reliable internet connection and a professional remote work environment
• Preferred: hands-on experience with ModMed (Modernizing Medicine)
• Preferred: previous experience using Nextiva or similar VoIP/phone systems
• Preferred: experience supporting a Women's Health, OB/GYN, or related medical practice
• Preferred: familiarity with medical terminology and Women's Health appointment workflows
• Preferred: experience working with multiple practice locations or high-volume medical offices
• Full-time contractor position, 40 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9am–5pm EST
• Starting rate negotiable based on skillset and experience
