This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.
• Manage incoming and outgoing phone calls, emails, and messages from patients.
• Provide professional assistance to patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments for patients.
• Organize provider calendars and daily schedules effectively.
• Address appointment-related inquiries and follow-up communications for patients.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients.
• Maintain and update patient demographic information in EMR/EHR systems.
• Ensure patient records are accurate and well-organized.
• Support daily administrative tasks for healthcare providers.
• Maintain reports, databases, and other administrative documentation.
• Assist with special projects and additional administrative duties as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance office operations efficiently.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in supporting U.S. healthcare accounts via a medical practice, BPO, CPO, or freelance healthcare environment.
• Advanced bilingual skills in English and Spanish (both written and verbal).
• Neutral or minimal English accent with exceptional verbal communication abilities.
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems.
• Familiarity with insurance eligibility verification processes.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Comfortable engaging directly with patients in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Degree or coursework in an Allied Health field is preferred.
• Experience in supporting U.S. physicians or medical practices is preferred.
