This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras.
• Confirm patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Ensure accurate patient demographics and maintain electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
• Upload clinical documentation including laboratory results, referrals, and provider notes.
• Guarantee that patient charts are complete, precise, and meet healthcare compliance standards.
• Aid in medical documentation and the management of records.
• Process requests for prescription refills.
• Collaborate with pharmacies on medication requests and prescription-related issues.
• Assist with prior authorizations for medications, including submission, follow-ups, tracking status, and managing denials.
• Monitor the status of prescriptions to ensure prompt patient care.
• Support both medical/procedure and pharmacy prior authorizations.
• Collect and submit necessary clinical documentation.
• Follow up with insurance companies regarding their authorization decisions.
• Keep track of pending authorizations, denials, appeals, and requests for additional documentation.
• Assist with the enrollment of providers for Medicare, Medicaid, and various commercial insurance plans.
• Maintain provider profiles on CAQH and credentialing platforms.
• Track the progress of credentialing applications and the status of provider enrollments.
• Oversee provider licenses, DEA registrations, malpractice insurance, and expiration dates of credentials.
• Coordinate efforts among providers, insurance companies, and patients.
• Support daily administrative workflows and operations within the office.
• Uphold confidentiality while managing sensitive patient information.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Administration, Medical Reception, Medical Virtual Assistance, Medical Records, Prior Authorizations, Credentialing, or a related healthcare support position.
• Advanced bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Experience in verifying insurance eligibility and understanding benefits.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical documentation and healthcare administrative processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic healthcare setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling protected health information (PHI).
