Bilingual Intake Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Handle incoming calls, faxes, and web requests from clients and providers.

• Start and manage the authorization process in line with established health plan guidelines and procedures.

• Record demographic data acquired from phone, fax, or email requests in the care management system.

• Make outgoing calls to follow up on discharge information or request updated clinical details as needed for concurrent review.

• Assess inquiries to identify the services that require certification at the time of the inquiry.

• Gather clinical information and connect the caller with clinical staff for the completion of the review.

• Provide certification based on scripted clinical algorithms or benchmark Length of Stay.

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Remain informed about Summary Plan Documents and other relevant resources related to service requests.

• Ensure compliance with applicable URAC standards, Confidentiality/HIPAA regulations, and internal policies, practices, and productivity metrics.

• Perform additional related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume call center or customer support setting.

• Exceptional attention to detail while maintaining courteous, accurate, and prompt interactions with our partners and members.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• GED or High School Diploma required.

• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking both Spanish and English.

• Preferred qualifications include: Experience in medical, claims, or collection call centers; Medical Terminology Certification; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
