Bilingual Immigration Paralegal, Declarations Writer – English, Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Prepare and obtain client declarations.

• Compile legal packets for mid-level cases, which include cover letters, correspondence, and forms, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and logically structured according to templates and case specifics.

• Perform research and gather relevant information.

• Familiarize yourself with and apply internal procedures.

• Engage in communication with clients.

• Work collaboratively with team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both English and Spanish.

• A minimum of 6 months of experience handling humanitarian immigration cases, such as VAWA, T Visa, U Visa, or family-based cases.

• Experience in taking declarations and drafting legal documents.

• Fundamental understanding of immigration legal documents, processes, and workflows.

• Capability to write clearly, concisely, and accurately.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.

• Strong grasp of drafting, grammar, syntax, and legal writing style.

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

• Excellent client communication skills characterized by clarity, empathy, and professionalism.

• Keen attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.

• Quick to learn new processes, workflows, and legal concepts.

• Client-oriented approach with sensitivity towards humanitarian cases.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to organize information in a logical manner.
