Bilingual Full-Cycle Medical Biller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Assist healthcare providers in the U.S. with medical billing, claims processing, accounts receivable follow-up, and revenue cycle management activities.

• Submit accurate claims both electronically and in paper format.

• Confirm insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage details.

• Utilize correct CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and HCPCS codes.

• Process claims for various specialties and payer types.

• Manage workflows for workers’ compensation claims, auto accident claims, and out-of-network billing.

• Monitor denied or rejected claims and resubmit corrected versions.

• Follow up with insurance companies on unpaid or underpaid claims.

• Appeal claim denials and resolve any billing discrepancies.

• Communicate with patients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements.

• Accurately post payments and reconcile accounts.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.

• Maintain detailed records of claims, payments, denials, appeals, and patient billing interactions.

• Stay informed on billing regulations, coding updates, and payer requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) — REQUIRED.

• Required English proficiency level: C1 or higher.

• At least 1–2 years of experience in medical billing, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), or U.S. healthcare administration.

• Previous experience supporting medical practices based in the U.S. is REQUIRED.

• Strong knowledge of insurance claims, accounts receivable follow-up, medical billing processes, denial management, and EOB interpretation.

• Proficient in CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and HCPCS coding.

• Experience with medical billing software such as Kareo, eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, DrChrono, or similar systems.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• High level of attention to detail and accountability.
