Bid Manager – Ground Transport

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Proposal Development: Manages the complete proposal development lifecycle, which entails grasping the requirements of the RFI & RFP, collaborating with various departments or teams within the organization, and ensuring that the proposal meets the client's expectations.

• Team Coordination: Collaborates with a cross-functional team that may comprise subject matter experts, Business Developers, Product specialists, and others (support and installation…). Orchestrates the efforts of these teams to guarantee that the proposal is thorough, precise, and complies with all RFP requirements.

• Risk Assessment: Evaluates the risks linked to the bid, taking into account aspects such as technical feasibility, resource availability, financial considerations, and potential challenges. Works to mitigate these risks to ensure that the bid remains competitive and feasible for the organization.

• Budgeting and Pricing: Works in partnership with finance and product teams to create competitive pricing strategies.

• Quality Control: Accountable for the overall quality of the proposal. Reviews and edits content to ensure clarity, persuasiveness, and the absence of errors. Ensures that the proposal follows the specified format and guidelines outlined in the RFP.

• Submission: Oversees the submission process with Business Developers, ensuring that all necessary documents are prepared and submitted punctually.

• Client Communication: Engages with the client throughout the bidding process, which may include clarifying requirements, addressing inquiries, and fostering a positive relationship with the client.

• Post-Submission Activities: Following submission, the Bid Manager may participate in debriefings, analyze the outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement in future bids.

• For recurring customers and additional activities, will lead various transversal initiatives such as:

• Defining Library structure for different customers for Framework agreements: standard documents utilized for recurrent opportunities.

• Collaborating with Product teams and Business Development to define and emphasize the unique selling propositions (USPs) of Gunnebo solutions.

• Developing comprehensive costing models for Gunnebo offers and simplifying pricing.


⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment.

• Experience in matrix organizations.

• Proficient in the MS Office Suite and D-365, with required expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Experience in structuring offers and managing international bids, ideally in the mass transit sector.

• Ability to drive and coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders.

• Capability to design optimal solutions by considering ROI and the limitations of each party.

• Highly structured and organized.

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

• Cost and optimization conscious.

• Proficient in establishing accurate costing and risk assessment estimates.

• Fluent in English.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and rendering is desirable.

• Additional European languages (especially Spanish) are a plus.
