This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for developing and executing curriculum within Ethos online learning environments, ensuring students thrive in their coursework.
• Conduct regular synchronous sessions, with at least ten meetings per semester.
• Facilitate and evaluate all assignments promptly, typically within 24 to 72 hours.
• Submit final course grades after discussions with lead faculty and/or program director by the Ethos deadline.
• Maintain consistent communication with students, at least three times a week, either individually or in groups to enhance learning.
• Regularly update students and their families regarding classroom activities and student progress.
• Manage student behavior to keep all learners fully engaged.
• Recognize individual student needs and collaborate with colleagues to address them effectively.
• Proactively inform supervisors of any declines in student grades or engagement.
• Actively engage in mandatory job-embedded professional development courses aimed at fostering continual improvement in the teaching and learning process at Ethos.
• Uphold the mission, vision, and core values of Ethos School.
• Fully supports and complies with the guidelines, policies, and procedures of Ethos.
• A bachelor's degree in Bible studies is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience is required.
• Prior experience in online teaching is highly preferred.
• Understanding of student cognitive development and diverse learning styles is essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a consistent record of meeting deadlines.
• Capability to lead classroom and other activities with a Christ-centered approach, serving as an example to students.
• The applicant must be proficient in creating a curriculum that satisfies state, national, and Ethos standards.
• Commitment to the advancement and promotion of the subject area at Ethos and within the community is necessary.
• Willingness and ability to reflect on and enhance instructional practices.
• Proficient in software and internet-based applications.
• A collaborative spirit with the ability to foster consensus.
• Self-driven problem solver who seeks input and initiates appropriate and reasonable solutions.
• Successful completion of background checks and reference evaluations.
• Acknowledgment and agreement with ETHOS’s Statement of Faith and Community Covenant.
