Benefits & Payroll Specialist, EMEA & APAC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take charge of complete payroll processing for Spain, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia, collaborating with local payroll providers and utilizing ADP and Woffu to guarantee precise and timely payroll each cycle.

• Perform payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of data across systems.

• Oversee statutory payroll filings in accordance with local regulations, including UK HMRC, Spain’s Seguridad Social, Ireland’s PRSA, and Australia’s Superannuation obligations.

• Maintain precise, audit-ready payroll records, including documentation of processes and controls.

• Manage employee benefits programs across all regions, encompassing health, pension/retirement, life insurance, and statutory benefits, ensuring adherence to local requirements.

• Assist with annual benefits renewals, coordinating with vendors, communicating with employees, and updating systems.

• Cultivate relationships with local benefits brokers and vendors, acting as the primary operational contact for enrollments, renewals, and issue resolution.

• Address payroll and benefits inquiries from employees and external partners promptly, accurately, and professionally.

• Support onboarding and offboarding processes related to payroll and benefits, ensuring correct setup and timely processing.

• Collaborate with Finance on payroll reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end closing activities.

• Work with People Operations, Legal, and external vendors to ensure smooth payroll and benefits delivery across all regions.

• Leverage AI and automation tools to identify opportunities for enhancing payroll and benefits processes, improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

• Contribute to payroll system integrations and enhancements (e.g., ADP–Woffu), providing regional expertise and testing assistance.

• Support payroll and benefits-related projects, process improvements, and scalability initiatives.

• Stay informed on international payroll and employment legislation changes and proactively inform relevant stakeholders of impacts.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in international payroll and/or benefits administration, with direct hands-on experience in at least two of the following countries: Spain, United Kingdom, Ireland, or Australia.

• Familiarity with statutory payroll and benefits requirements across EMEA and/or APAC markets, with significant expertise in Spain due to the size of our employee base there.

• Experience with payroll platforms such as CloudPay or similar; comfortable managing multiple systems simultaneously.

• Strong understanding of global payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.

• Proven experience in managing payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance reporting.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret and present payroll data effectively.

• Ability to collaborate across departments and with international teams to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of payroll and benefits.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
