• Actively expand the specialty pharmacy patient base by identifying individuals eligible to fill prescriptions with a Shields Partner Pharmacy.
• Conduct thorough patient benefits investigations.
• Execute benefits investigation processes.
• Leverage various approved tools to ascertain insurance coverage.
• Investigate patients' medical records to evaluate their current medication regimen.
• Complete benefits investigations using designated Pharmacy Dispensing Systems.
• Accurately document all outcomes of benefits investigations in the designated documentation tool.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Apply insights and recommendations to enhance operational issues, boost productivity, and improve quality and customer service standards.
• Recognize trends, troubleshoot issues, propose enhancements, and facilitate changes.
• Engage actively in initiatives aimed at process improvement.
• Serve as a valuable business partner to stakeholders across the organization.
• Uphold the organization’s values by maintaining confidentiality of information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Required Licensure/Certification: We are looking for experienced pharmacy technicians. National certification from PTCB or an equivalent is highly preferred, but not mandatory. A state license is necessary.
• Years of Experience: 0-1 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Required Education: High school diploma or GED.
