Benefits Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Formulates advanced benefit design and renewal strategies while spearheading the creation of solutions for intricate client challenges.

• Collaborates closely with account management and/or client service teams on pre-renewal strategies, RFP distribution, SPRs, open enrollment plans, and post-renewal assessments.

• Defines the comprehensive range of services to be delivered to clients.

• Effectively sets and communicates timelines with the client service teams, keeping them informed of any changes and renewal updates.

• Maintains accountability for revenue generation and profitability across client accounts and projects, ensuring all stakeholders are kept in the loop.

• Evaluates project success in terms of scope, budget adherence, timeliness, and client satisfaction.

• Manages the onboarding process for new clients by partnering with client service teams to create the implementation plan, team, and timeline.

• Guarantees that client service teams surpass client expectations.

• Expands client portfolio through cross-selling initiatives.

• Develops and nurtures robust relationships with both clients and carriers.

• Builds effective relationships with carriers and vendors to support clients in benefits procurement and administration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits consulting.

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

• Must stay current and knowledgeable about Health Care Reform and health and ancillary insurance products.

• Practical understanding of the quoting process and related tools is essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with database applications is required.

• A valid life and health insurance license is mandatory.
