This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and implement experimental studies and surveys from the ground up, using both quantitative and qualitative approaches to explore religious and social phenomena.
• Lead intricate data collection efforts, including in-depth qualitative interviews, focus groups, and data acquisition.
• Employ advanced statistical techniques on large datasets and leverage data visualization tools.
• Oversee product and program evaluations to measure impact and effectiveness through rigorous scientific methodologies.
• Author and co-author high-quality outputs, including academic papers, journal articles, curriculum frameworks, white papers, and books.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, partnering with the "Books & Reports" team to ensure research is aligned with long-term publication objectives.
• PhD or Master’s degree in Sociology, Economics, Epidemiology, Psychology, Criminology, Islamic Studies, or Education.
• Strong expertise in statistical software, particularly Stata, SPSS, MPlus, R, or Python.
• Proficiency in using Qualtrics for survey development and Shamela/Academic Libraries for conducting literature reviews.
• A solid understanding of fundamental Islamic ideas, concepts, values, and principles is crucial for contextualizing research outcomes.
• Proven ability to produce work that adheres to the standards of peer review and academic integrity.
• Capability to differentiate between "knowledge generation" (Research) and "delivery optimization" (Product), ensuring that work prioritizes validity, authority, and the evolution of public discourse.
