Behavioral Health Medical Director – Clinical Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the lead architect and expert in creating our forthcoming longitudinal Serious Mental Illness (SMI) care model.

• Develop clinical strategies aimed at minimizing Total Cost of Care (TCOC) and reducing Emergency Department (ED) visits.

• Collaborate directly with our clinical operations and engineering teams to continuously enhance our proprietary EMR, incorporating generative AI tools.

• Establish and monitor the program’s comprehensive scorecard using advanced population health KPIs.

• Function as the primary, hands-on psychiatrist and prescriber for our most intricate and medically vulnerable geriatric members.

• Lead structured, data-driven case evaluations with your panel of behavioral health care managers.

• Expand our internal asynchronous psychiatry e-consult program.

• Work closely with the Behavioral Health social work manager to provide clinical oversight and act as the primary clinical escalation point for the behavioral health team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current Board Certification in Adult Psychiatry.

• At least 2–3 years of active clinical experience, preferably managing high-acuity SMI, treatment-resistant mood disorders, or complex geriatric/D-SNP populations.

• Practical experience in working within or designing Collaborative Care (CoCM) or integrated behavioral health workflows.

• High level of comfort with telehealth models and data-driven clinical registries.

• Licensed in (or willing to actively pursue) multiple state licenses as we expand our virtual presence nationally.
