This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary point of contact for team members seeking support with their daily claim follow-up and inquiries.

• Provide ongoing training and mentorship to colleagues.

• Share knowledge, best practices, and techniques for successful collection and claim follow-up efforts.

• Ensure precise documentation of collection activities.

• Assist team members with maintaining proper record-keeping practices and ensure adherence to collection processes as specified in the organization's SOP. Aid team members in establishing and reaching their individual performance targets.

• Collaborate with insurance providers to track the status of outstanding claims and facilitate resolution steps.

• Investigate outstanding accounts receivable, identify the reasons for delinquency, and secure payments.

• Submit and re-submit claims while conducting follow-up calls to ensure comprehensive documentation.

• Review all documentation provided by clients and pinpoint discrepancies.

• Contribute to the preparation and assignment of collection work queues.

• Conduct daily quality assurance reviews on AR Specialists regarding the quantity and quality of their work on assigned accounts.

• Identify trends and perform root cause analyses on unpaid and underpaid claims.

• Generate monthly reports using Excel that highlight insurance denial trends and share them with internal management.

• Meet performance goals or objectives (individual or departmental) set by the Manager.

• Uphold HIPAA and compliance standards to protect patient confidentiality.

• Perform additional tasks as needed and assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable within the behavioral healthcare sector.

• Required leadership skills and capabilities.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, coupled with analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Preferably two years of experience in Behavioral Health, including knowledge of EMR/EHR systems (Kipu, BestNotes).

• Ability to manage critical deadlines with a proactive and self-motivated approach while multitasking.

• Must demonstrate resourcefulness, persistence, and exceptional problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally.
