Bearing Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Review customer applications and recommend technical solutions to ensure optimal product performance.

• Offer technical assistance to Sales and Product Management teams regarding spherical plain bearing design and applications.

• Assist with cost analysis, customer support, quality assurance, production support, and evaluations of new applications.

• Collaborate with customers to address technical issues and application-related challenges.

• Create and present technical presentations alongside Sales Engineers for designated accounts.

• Serve as a technical consultant on product design, application challenges, service issues, quality discrepancies, and material or component alternatives.

• Ensure that drawings and process documentation meet technical specifications and customer requirements.

• Define requirements for bearing testing, develop test plans, and establish validation processes.

• Analyze and communicate test results to customers to facilitate product approval.

• Approve new product designs and authorize their release for manufacturing.

• Manage projects internally and externally, acting as a technical liaison between customers, engineering teams, and management.

• Travel occasionally for customer visits, approximately 10–20% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 5–10 years of experience in bearing design and applications.

• Strong comprehension of mechanical engineering principles, technical drawings, and product validation.

• Experience in providing technical support to customers or internal commercial teams.

• Proficient **English** communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Background in aerospace, aeronautics, railway, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
