This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the Technical Pre-Sales Process.
• Design deal strategies by converting customer use cases, financial goals, and operational limitations into technically optimized and commercially attractive storage solutions.
• Convert Market Opportunities into Feasible Proposals.
• Create comprehensive energy storage models that assess lifetime performance, degradation, efficiency, availability, and return on investment (ROI).
• Enhance Technical Sales Engagement.
• Develop standardized tools, calculators, and modeling frameworks that boost proposal consistency, reduce cycle time, and improve win rates.
• Elevate Marketing & Market Positioning.
• Work in collaboration with Marketing to create application notes, white papers, case studies, and technical documentation.
• Promote Cross-Functional Alignment.
• Assist in commissioning readiness and early deployment to safeguard the performance assumptions established during the sales process.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Systems, or a similar technical field.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), covering system design, applications engineering, integration, technical sales support, and service.
• Proven expertise in designing multi-MW scale energy storage systems, with a strong understanding of both DC and AC electrical design principles.
• High technical proficiency ranging from battery cell fundamentals to commercial and utility-scale battery systems.
• In-depth knowledge of secondary battery chemistries, degradation mechanisms, system architectures, and operational constraints across various duty cycles.
• Practical experience with balance-of-system (BOS) components, including inverters, medium-voltage transformers, combiner boxes, DC/DC converters, energy management systems (EMS), and battery management systems (BMS) platforms.
• Strong understanding of NEC and relevant regulatory codes and standards for PV and energy storage installations, including NFPA 70 (NEC), IEEE 1547, UL 9540, UL 1741, and other pertinent global standards.
• Ability to analyze operational data, apply statistical analysis methods, and create clear, actionable reports.
• Familiarity with competitive energy storage products available in the market and the capacity to effectively communicate differentiated technical value.
• Proven capability to work collaboratively across engineering, product, sales, marketing, and field teams.
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and take responsibility for deliverables.
• Willingness and capacity to travel 10–20% to support customer engagement, project development, site validation, and industry events.
