Batch Developer – UNIX, C, SQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, test, debug, implement, and document software programs.

• Adjust company products and both customer and internal systems to fulfill client and end-user requirements.

• Collect system data, evaluate program and timeline needs, and generate documentation for program updates.

• Investigate and assess current systems and program requirements.

• Create designs for projects and enhancements to existing software.

• Draft specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.

• Aid in troubleshooting production support issues.

• Propose alternative solutions for problem resolution.

• Formulate test plans to confirm the logic of newly developed or modified programs.

• Identify issues as necessary.

• Generate program code and technical documentation.

• Execute quality assurance tasks such as peer evaluations.

• Investigate industry technical trends and advancements to keep skills and industry standards up to date.

• Engage in production support activities as part of a 24/7 on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in applications development and batch programming utilizing Unix, Linux, C, and SQL (Oracle or other databases).

• Knowledge of Claims, Pharmacy point of sale, EDI, and/or NCPDP is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with the complete software development life cycle.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for program design, development, and testing.

• Ability to perform effectively as an independent contributor and as a team leader.

• Readiness to provide 24/7 production support during an on-call rotation.

• Willingness to adapt to a flexible schedule to meet business requirements and travel as needed.

• Video cameras are required to be on during all interviews and throughout the first week of orientation.
