This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support for crucial projects centered on Building Automation Systems (BAS), Project Management Systems (PMS/EPMS), controls integration, and smart building innovations.
• Deliver technical and project leadership for the planning and design of BAS/PMS and integrated control systems.
• Create and uphold standards for DLB controls, BAS, EPMS, and specifications.
• Supervise the scopes of work for subconsultants, including Statements of Work (SOOs), construction drawings, technical specifications, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with project teams, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineers, contractors, vendors, software engineers, project managers, and clients.
• Generate and oversee design drawings, operational sequences, and specifications.
• Assist with engineering drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, including floor plans, system architecture, wiring, and control panel diagrams.
• Coordinate BAS-related elements with MEP trades.
• Recognize scope changes and assist in minimizing cost and schedule impacts.
• Manage project deliverables when not serving as the lead design engineer.
• Develop, document, review, and train personnel on BAS and EPMS standards.
• Oversee and review shop drawings, submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), punch lists, and closeout documentation.
• Support onsite BAS audits, feasibility studies, and retrofit assessments.
• Prepare project progress reports and departmental updates while administering project contracts.
• Utilize AI and digital tools to enhance efficiency and promote innovative workflows.
• Travel about 10% of the time to U.S. client locations, partner offices, or company events.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, construction, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in BAS controls systems engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of open-source protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP.
• Familiarity with IoT and smart building technologies.
• Understanding of standard data center control redundancy strategies.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools pertinent to mission-critical or commercial buildings.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Adept in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Capable of leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows and optimize processes.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a remote work environment with strong communication, organizational skills, self-motivation, proactivity, and resourcefulness.
• Proficient in identifying and analyzing complex issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Ability to adhere to company and site safety protocols.
• Skilled in analyzing and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Effective communicator in both oral and written forms, with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients and sometimes acting as the primary contact.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team with moderate supervision.
• Ability to plan and delegate tasks efficiently.
• Competent in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Physically able to meet demands such as frequently remaining stationary, navigating office/facility environments, and occasionally lifting equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% to U.S. client sites, partner offices, or company events.
