Bare Developer, C / JavaScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop native addons that connect platform APIs with JavaScript.

• Troubleshoot issues across various operating systems.

• Create, implement, and launch bare-* native modules (e.g., bare-bluetooth, bare-tcp).

• Establish and manage cross-platform builds for macOS, Linux, Android (NDK), and iOS (Xcode).

• Oversee CI pipelines that compile and test native modules on all supported platforms.

• Diagnose native addon problems across multiple operating systems and device targets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in C programming.

• Advanced JavaScript capabilities with a deep understanding of Node.js internals and the module ecosystem.

• Experience in creating native addons for Node.js or similar environments (N-API, node-gyp, or equivalent).

• Knowledge of libuv or other asynchronous I/O frameworks.

• Comfortable navigating build toolchains for macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.

• Familiarity with cross-compilation and platform-specific system APIs (Bluetooth, networking, filesystem).

• Ability to read and work through extensive C and C++ codebases.

• Self-motivated work style with excellent written communication skills.
