Bare Developer – C, JavaScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Denmark.

📋 Description

• Become a part of Tether and influence the future of digital finance.

• Develop C native addons that connect platform APIs (Bluetooth, networking, filesystem, crypto) with JavaScript.

• Establish and manage cross-platform builds for macOS, Linux, Android (NDK), and iOS (Xcode).

• Troubleshoot native addon issues across various operating systems and device targets, including mobile.

• Engage in Bare workshops and assist in creating onboarding materials.

• Report on progress, challenges, and decisions in written form.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient C programming skills, with experience in writing and debugging native code across different platforms.

• Advanced JavaScript expertise with a comprehensive understanding of Node.js internals and the module ecosystem.

• Proven experience in developing native addons for Node.js or comparable runtimes (N-API, node-gyp, or similar).

• Knowledge of libuv or other asynchronous I/O frameworks.

• Comfortable navigating build toolchains for macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.

• Experience with cross-compilation and platform-specific system APIs (Bluetooth, networking, filesystem).

• Ability to read and work with extensive C and C++ codebases.

• Self-motivated work style with excellent written communication abilities.
