This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Support the Attorney and other team members in drafting pleadings, motions, complaints, letters, notices, and orders related to foreclosure litigation defense, creditor bankruptcy cases, and loss mitigation.
• Create bankruptcy motions, judgments, stipulations, objections, complaints, notices, and orders.
• Conduct research and gather pertinent documents from various client databases.
• Update relevant information in multiple client databases.
• Electronically file documents with different courts.
• Schedule tasks and manage calendars.
• Arrange court hearings and meetings.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by management.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a law firm.
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or an accredited post-secretary institution; a Bachelor’s degree along with a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Experience in Bankruptcy or as a Mortgage Servicer is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Black Knight, Equator, LPS, Tempo, Westlaw, PACER, and ECF.
• Capability to continuously sit and utilize hand and finger dexterity.
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, talk, or hear.
