Banking Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Take on a pivotal role within the SAP Technical team in the Banking Business Unit.

• Oversee both the sales and delivery aspects of SAP Fioneer banking-related initiatives.

• Engage in sales and pre-sales efforts, including opportunity identification, delivering presentations, and preparing and submitting proposals.

• Ensure high-quality client interactions, offering thought leadership and insights on industry best practices.

• Deliver and implement necessary technical solutions in alignment with project standards, timelines, and quality expectations.

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for banking clients during their transformation journeys.

• Collaborate closely with the bank's Solution Architects, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to define the scope of work.

• Provide technical expertise in SAP Fioneer Banking to stakeholders.

• Engage in the development and execution of the SAP Fioneer team strategy while mentoring junior team members.

• Create design and build artifacts, generate technical architecture and design documents, and work collaboratively on integrating SAP Fioneer solutions into various channels and downstream systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, computer science, technology, or engineering.

• Over 8 years of consulting experience across at least 3 of the SAP Core banking domains, including Deposits, Loans, Master Contracts, Collateral Management, and Payments.

• Proficiency with modern SAP technologies such as API management, REST/OData, and event-driven architecture.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of technology architecture, ideally in software or cloud solutions.

• Demonstrated industry experience with in-depth knowledge of SAP Fioneer technical platform capabilities, functional capabilities, implementations, and relevant standards and regulations.

• Required client-facing service experience, with the ability to engage across stakeholders and facilitate information gathering and sharing sessions.

• Keep a keen awareness of emerging AI trends and leverage AI-driven techniques to enhance analysis, automation, and delivery efficiency in SAP Fioneer Banking implementations.

• **Technical Skills: **

• Robust technical project experience with SAP Fioneer Banking, encompassing implementation, platform upgrades, legacy migrations, and data migration.

• Working knowledge of both domestic and international banking sectors.

• Proficient business writing skills, including the ability to craft business cases and proposals.

• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

• A proactive approach to learning and a readiness to take on responsibility.

• Display ownership and accountability in all tasks undertaken.
