Baker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Support new product development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD) initiatives

• Conduct baking trials and document results

• Manage bakery equipment and assess equipment requirements

• Develop and revise testing protocols

• Offer technical assistance to meet customer needs aligned with Lesaffre UK & Ireland's commercial strategy through baking process guidance

• Engage in trade shows and customer events

• Facilitate training sessions and either lead or assist in technical training for both internal staff and external partners/customers on bakery processes, yeasts, sourdough, ingredients, and mixes

• Keep informed about market trends and developments related to customers, competitors, and products

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree from a bakery college, university qualification in food technology, or relevant experience in the baking sector

• Over 2 years of experience in baking and/or experience working on industrial production lines

• Customer-focused with a strong commitment, confident, and persuasive

• Capable of organizing, prioritizing, being proactive, responding effectively, and handling issues

• Ability to collaborate within a team and work with various departments in the company and the broader Group

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Willingness to travel

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) at an advanced level
