• Lead the backend team technically: guide, mentor, and foster the growth of developers, serving as a technical reference and a point for resolving blockers.
• Define and evolve the backend architecture of the product, making informed technical decisions aligned with business objectives.
• Design and implement high-quality services and REST APIs, ensuring their proper integration with web interfaces and other ecosystem services.
• Establish and uphold the team's development standards: best practices, code reviews, testing strategies, and technical documentation.
• Ensure the security, performance, scalability, and resilience of services in production.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other technical leaders in planning, refinement, and prioritization of technical initiatives.
• Manage the technical debt of the backend area: identify, quantify, and propose concrete action plans.
• Participate in technical selection processes: defining tests, conducting interviews, and evaluating candidates for the team.
• Ensure the operational continuity of the team: documentation, runbooks, incident management, and post-mortem analysis.
• 5–7 years of experience in backend development, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Advanced proficiency in Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript, applying SOLID principles, OOP, and design patterns in scalable architectures.
• Solid experience in designing and evolving REST and GraphQL APIs: versioning, governance, documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI), and error management.
• Advanced knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, query optimization, modeling, indexing, and the use of ORMs/ODMs (TypeORM, Prisma, Mongoose).
• Proficiency in Git and collaborative methodologies: Gitflow, trunk-based development, code review, and establishing development standards.
• Ability to enhance code quality through best practices, style guides, review policies, and a culture of clean code.
• Experience working and leading teams in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), collaborating closely with product and business.
