Backend Specialist, Kotlin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee technically intricate projects from conception to deployment.

• Act as a technical authority to ensure quality, performance, and security standards are met.

• Create robust solutions such as Backend-for-Frontend (BFFs), strategic APIs, and integration hubs.

• Advocate for best practices including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD/BDD), Clean Code principles, and automated testing.

• Engage in troubleshooting and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Shape technical decisions that align with business objectives.

• Foster the technical development of the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Kotlin or Java, particularly in large-scale Spring Boot applications.

• In-depth knowledge of microservices, APIs, and integrations.

• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka, SQS, and SNS.

• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.

• Experience with containers and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and infrastructure as code, utilizing Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Understanding of security principles, including OAuth, encryption, and OWASP guidelines.

• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.

• Background in DevOps practices and an engineering-oriented culture.
