Backend Software Engineer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance essential applications within the payments ecosystem.

• Collaborate with legacy Java applications utilizing Java 8, WebObjects with Wonder, Quartz, and Axis/SOAP integrations.

• Create and advance modern backend services employing Java 21 and Spring Boot.

• Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize vital backend payment processes.

• Engage in integrations with both internal systems and external partners.

• Assist in modernization efforts, including containerization and deployment on Kubernetes using Helm.

• Investigate incidents, integration failures, performance challenges, and unexpected production behaviors.

• Contribute to automated testing, mocks, and technical validations utilizing Playwright and WireMock.

• Implement resilience best practices such as fallback, retry, and circuit breaker patterns.

• Work with SQL Server databases, automate processes with Ansible, and manage integrations/events using Kafka.
