This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Design and implement Kubernetes-based deployment automation for the simulated service catalog, encompassing deployment configurations for each service type, health monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Develop and sustain content seeding pipelines that scrape, transform, and inject realistic content into simulated services—making a mock code repository appear as though it has a long history of commits, or a simulated news site look like it has been publishing for several months.
• Manage the external DNS layer: configure and supervise authoritative DNS for all simulated domains, ensure accurate mail and sender authentication records are produced during domain provisioning, and uphold consistency between the DNS state and deployed services.
• Create and maintain the email delivery infrastructure that enables the internet simulation platform to send emails into range environments, including proper envelope construction, authentication headers, and support for adversarial email scenarios.
• Collaborate with the identity and persona team to guarantee that simulated services are properly provisioned with user accounts at the time of persona registration and that the per-service user state stays consistent with the overall persona definition.
• Instrument and monitor the simulated service catalog, integrating observability into service health and range-level activity using the platform's Grafana-based stack.
• Contribute to the service API layer that enables other platform components and external orchestration systems to programmatically create and manage simulated services.
• Strong bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential for written, virtual, and in-person communications.
• Extensive experience in deploying and managing containerized services within Kubernetes, including writing deployment configurations and automation for a diverse range of applications.
• Practical experience with self-hosted open-source platforms—you have operated your own mail server, set up a social media instance, or managed similar infrastructure and understand the associated configuration complexities.
• Proficient knowledge of DNS—not just querying, but also operating authoritative nameservers, comprehending zone delegation, and configuring records for email authentication.
• Understanding of email delivery infrastructure: how mail servers function, how sender authentication is formulated, and what factors contribute to an email appearing legitimate to receiving systems.
• Experience with web scraping, data transformation pipelines, or content generation.
• Comfort in working across a diverse, heterogeneous service catalog—this role values generalist expertise across various technologies over deep specialization in a single area.
• Familiarity with PKI and TLS fundamentals is a plus—understanding how certificate trust chains operate and how clients are set up to trust custom certificate authorities.
• Experience in cybersecurity, red team infrastructure, or cyber range environments is advantageous.
• Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
• Access to company-funded counseling, coaching, and resources for you and your family through Spring Health.
• Paid leave plans designed to support you and your loved ones during significant life events.
• Equity stock options upon hire, accompanied by annual performance-based grants—become an invested stakeholder in our collective success.
• Membership to LinkedIn Learning to prioritize your personal and professional development.
• Monthly reimbursements for meaningful interactions with teammates through our SocialSpace Community.
