Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop backend services and APIs for onboarding, account management, payment processing, card services, transfers, rewards, travel, foreign exchange, Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols, and risk management flows.

• Create dependable systems that can handle real customer transactions, operational processes, and future financial offerings.

• Collaborate with internal systems, financial partners, payment processors, AI services, and third-party platforms for integration.

• Take ownership of backend quality, focusing on reliability, security, latency, observability, data integrity, and incident management.

• Partner with product, frontend, mobile, and AI teams to launch features efficiently and securely.

• Enhance existing systems by streamlining processes, eliminating manual tasks, and automating repeatable workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid backend engineering experience with production systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of APIs, databases, authentication, authorization, queues, jobs, events, and integrations.

• Proven experience in building services that are utilized by real customers or internal operations at a significant scale.

• Strong focus on debugging, reliability, security, and data quality.

• Capable of making practical trade-offs between speed, accuracy, scalability, and maintainability.

• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, wallets, KYC, fraud, or risk management is highly desirable, though not mandatory if strong foundational skills are present.
