Backend Software Engineer – Finance Super App

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Develop backend services, APIs, and workflows for the finance super app.

• Support various products, including insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, travel, and financial services.

• Design dependable systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications, and operations.

• Collaborate with product and mobile teams to swiftly deliver customer-facing experiences.

• Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, data providers, and other partners.

• Enhance system reliability, observability, security, and performance.

• Create systems that are practical, auditable, and compliant with regulations for financial products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Strong knowledge of APIs, databases, system design, and production debugging.

• Experience in building scalable services and integrating third-party systems.

• Solid understanding of security, reliability, data quality, and operational edge cases.

• Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs between speed, quality, and risk.

• Comfortable collaborating with product, mobile, operations, and business teams.

• Familiarity with fintech, payments, insurance, lending, banking, or regulated products is a significant advantage.
