Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services with high availability using Go, Python, and Java.

• Create and manage Terraform scripts to provision and scale cloud resources reliably.

• Set up and optimize workflows in GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

• Integrate with various payment processors, including Stripe, PayPal, and Razorpay, while ensuring adherence to PCI-DSS standards.

• Conduct code reviews, enforce best coding practices, and engage in architectural discussions.

• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate with product and front-end teams to deliver comprehensive feature solutions.

• Develop strong error handling, logging, and alerting systems to ensure production stability.

• Take part in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem documentation efforts.

• Remain informed about industry trends in cloud infrastructure, payment technologies, and backend development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in building scalable backend systems using Go, Python, and/or Java.

• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code and experience with resource deployment on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Practical experience in configuring GitHub Actions for CI/CD, including automated testing and deployment processes.

• In-depth knowledge of payment gateway integration, security best practices, and regulatory compliance.

• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as message queuing systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills in distributed systems.

• Proven track record of mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks, including unit/integration tests and test automation pipelines.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud orchestration methods.
