Backend Software Engineer, AI Neobank App

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Develop backend services, APIs, and workflows for the AI Neobank application.

• Provide support for products within the domains of insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, travel, and financial services.

• Create dependable systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications, and operational processes.

• Collaborate with product and mobile teams to swiftly deliver customer-facing experiences.

• Integrate with banks, payment processors, insurers, data providers, and various partners.

• Enhance system reliability, observability, security, and overall performance.

• Construct systems that are practical, auditable, and prepared for regulated financial offerings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Strong foundational knowledge in APIs, databases, system design, and production debugging.

• Proven experience in building scalable services and integrating third-party systems.

• Good grasp of security, reliability, data quality, and operational edge cases.

• Ability to make practical trade-offs among speed, quality, and risk.

• Comfortable collaborating with product, mobile, operations, and business teams.

• Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, lending, banking, or regulated products is a significant advantage.
