Backend Ops Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee scalable cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS services such as ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, and IAM.

• Build and sustain infrastructure as code using Terraform to facilitate consistent and automated deployments.

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines through GitHub Actions to guarantee swift and reliable releases.

• Implement observability and monitoring systems with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Sentry.

• Manage containerized environments with Docker and optimize performance during high-load scenarios.

• Lead cost optimization initiatives throughout cloud infrastructure.

• Integrate AI-driven solutions into DevOps workflows, including automated log analysis and predictive scaling.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Ensure infrastructure security, compliance readiness, and adherence to best practices.

• Continuously refine deployment pipelines, minimize downtime, and boost system resilience.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or backend infrastructure roles.

• Strong practical experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud-native architectures.

• Proficient in Terraform and practices related to infrastructure as code.

• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools such as Docker.

• Solid understanding of observability, monitoring, and incident management.

• Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing systems under production load.

• Exposure to or keen interest in incorporating AI/LLMs into DevOps workflows.

• Knowledge of security and compliance standards (SOC 2, GDPR) as well as infrastructure best practices.

• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (GCP, Azure) is an advantage.
