Backend Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain backend services, APIs, webhooks, and integration solutions.

• Create secure, scalable infrastructures for multi-tenant educational products.

• Design dependable data workflows for assessments, feedback, learner activities, reporting, and operational processes.

• Construct and deploy containerized services in cloud environments.

• Analyze production issues, determine root causes, and implement long-lasting resolutions.

• Collaborate closely with Product and AI Engineers to transform product requirements into scalable technical systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional backend engineering experience in production settings.

• Extensive experience with TypeScript/Node.js, Python, or other contemporary backend technologies.

• Strong grasp of APIs, authentication, validation, permissions, databases, and backend architecture.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL and modern cloud platforms.

• Experience in integrating third-party APIs, SaaS platforms, or AI services.

• A self-motivated approach with the capability to investigate ambiguous technical issues, make informed decisions, and advance work towards practical solutions.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.
