Backend Engineer, Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Go microservices utilizing FastHTTP, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers.

• Construct and enhance distributed client-server frameworks that operate across customer infrastructures.

• Implement real-time machine learning inference integration with models developed in C.

• Develop robust data ingestion workflows that feed into the Data Warehouse for analytics and machine learning training.

• Optimize systems to achieve sub-millisecond response times even under heavy loads.

• Implement graceful degradation, circuit breakers, and fallback strategies.

• Conduct performance profiling, benchmarking, and optimization (including CPU, memory, and garbage collection tuning).

• Contribute to architectural decisions focused on scalability and maintainability.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, adhering to Go best practices.

• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to integrate models into production systems.

• Partner with product managers to grasp requirements and deliver features effectively.

• Participate in an on-call rotation for production support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional backend engineering experience.

• More than 3 years of production Go development with a comprehensive understanding of the language.

• Significant experience in building distributed systems and microservices architectures.

• Proven success in developing high-performance, low-latency systems with response times under 100ms.

• Familiarity with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and contemporary API design.

• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in a production environment.
