Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the APIs and data pipelines that drive our “Collaborative Proof Platform” – capturing compliance evidence, managing verification workflows, and providing access to our evidence library.

• Create database schemas and optimize queries for our expanding repository of sustainability data.

• Assume full ownership of features: from technical design to deployment and monitoring.

• Collaborate with product and sustainability experts to convert compliance requirements into dependable backend systems.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to the development of our backend architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant hands-on backend experience with TypeScript in production environments.

• Regular use of AI-assisted coding tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor) in your workflow.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining REST APIs.

• Knowledge of databases, particularly PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization).

• Experience with CI/CD processes, preferably using GitHub.

• Collaborative mindset with a strong emphasis on code quality and pair programming.

• Proficient in English for effective communication with our team and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Nest.js, a B2B SaaS background, or expertise in sustainability is advantageous.
