Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance C# / .NET Core Web APIs.

• Create secure, scalable, and high-performance backend services.

• Utilize best practices in dependency injection, middleware, asynchronous programming, and error handling.

• Develop and sustain RESTful APIs with appropriate versioning and documentation.

• Integrate backend services with databases and third-party systems.

• Ensure the reliability, performance, and maintainability of backend components.

• Deploy and manage backend services on Azure App Service.

• Configure application settings, environments, and sensitive information.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and diagnostics through Azure Application Insights.

• Troubleshoot production issues using logs, telemetry, and metrics.

• Support release and environment management tasks.

• Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access logic.

• Ensure data integrity, performance, and transaction management.

• Integrate with authentication providers and external APIs.

• Take ownership of backend deliverables for assigned features or modules.

• Participate in technical design discussions and effort estimations.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards.

• Mentor consultants and junior developers.

• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams.

• Proactively identify and address technical risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in C# and .NET Core Web API development.

• Solid grasp of REST principles and API design patterns.

• Experience with dependency injection, middleware, and asynchronous architecture.

• Knowledge of API security, OAuth2, JWT, and authorization practices.

• Experience in microservices-based environments (preferred).

• Strong background with SQL Server / Azure SQL.

• Good understanding of database design and performance optimization.

• Hands-on experience with Azure App Service.

• Extensive experience using Azure Application Insights for monitoring and diagnostics.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
