Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage backend services and APIs (C#/.NET) that drive the platform's essential business functionalities.

• Create and sustain the service layer for features related to asset tracking, facility navigation, and event detection.

• Connect with external positioning/telemetry providers and their APIs.

• Collaborate with the frontend team (web admin portal and mobile app) to define and refine API contracts.

• Write automated tests, engage in code reviews, and contribute to maintaining a manageable codebase as the platform expands.

• Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of backend services in a production environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in professional software engineering.

• Strong expertise in C#/.NET for backend service creation.

• Experience with integrating third-party APIs and webhooks.

• Comfortable handling real-time or near-real-time data processing needs.

• Familiarity with a major cloud platform (preferably Azure, considering the .NET stack).

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a small, cross-functional, fast-paced team.
