Backend Engineer – AI, LLM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for global products utilizing Java.

• Create a high-performance, highly available, and secure backend system to deliver strong support for business operations.

• Collaborate effectively with team members across various time zones to ensure smooth communication.

• Work closely with product managers and project managers to take ownership of the complete system architecture.

• Enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability within a production environment.

• Develop production LLM systems to enhance business functions, focusing on automation and reproducibility.

• Optimize and manage LLM workloads in on-premises environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in software development and architecture.

• Strong expertise in Java and backend frameworks (such as Spring Boot and RESTful APIs).

• Proficient in databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), messaging systems (like Kafka and RabbitMQ), and microservices architecture.

• Experience in the architecture design, code development, and performance tuning of LLM-related projects.

• Familiarity with LLM training and the development of optimization-driven platform tools.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential for coordinating with international partners and stakeholders.
