Backend Developer, Python – Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Your contributions will be crucial in developing new point mechanics, such as payment incentives via Pix and profile update rewards, while guaranteeing excellence in our microservices architecture, emphasizing performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Play an active role in product design and development, collaborating with the Product Manager and Product Designer to decompose epics into manageable tasks based on your technical expertise and business requirements.

• Recognize modeling risks and challenges related to non-functional requirements, taking steps to address them and streamline solution design.

• Produce secure, high-quality code and seek assistance focused on security when necessary.

• Proactively monitor and track code health metrics (e.g., code smells, bugs, vulnerabilities, and code coverage percentage) while ensuring active oversight of the production environment, concentrating on critical user journeys.

• Take the initiative in planning and refinement to convert abstract concepts into tangible tasks.

• Support your teammates' technical growth through collaboration, code reviews, and constructive feedback.

• Collaborate with developers to ensure the resolution of complex technical challenges and the proper execution of planned tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in backend programming with experience in Python and associated frameworks.

• Strong experience with microservices architectures and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.

• Extensive knowledge of relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, DocumentDB).

• Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, SQS).

• Experience in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).

• Cloud computing experience with platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), particularly in compute services (EC2, ECS), database, and messaging services.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and methodologies (GitHub, GitHub Actions, Sonar).

• Understanding of various testing types (unit, integration, end-to-end).

• Experience with application monitoring and logging tools (New Relic, Grafana).
